Wedding Plans

I found "THE" dress last Friday. LOVE it. It is strapless. I really didn't think that I would like a strapless dress but it is so pretty!! It is Champagne colored and did I mention really pretty? Then Saturday, we booked our venue for the wedding and reception. We decided to do it at the American Legion in our town. It has a really nice backyard (I guess that is what you call it) and we rented the indoor space so we have a back up plan b incase it decides to rain. I am a little nervous about how to set up the outside but I am confident in Pat. She makes magic!! And I have had lots of other offers so far to help with whatever. I am just trying not to get overwhelmed with all the decisions. It is still about a year away (MAY 14, 2011) but I called around some places and they were already booked for our first choice date June 4, 2011. So I had to get my ass on the ball.

So out of my checklist (hehehe bridezilla in the making??? Pat says I had better not be!!)

Rings, check
site for ceremony, check
site for reception, check
dress, check
veil & headpiece, check
date, check
fiance, check
honeymoon, in the workings so NOT check

Not too bad for a weeks work. We talked to a travel agent on Saturday. I am kinda leaning towards going to Jamaica. or Punta Cana. I really don't know. I almost would just like someone to listen to me tell them what I want, and can afford, and then them tell me where we are going!! Wouldn't that be nice? That is one of the next things on my list. Gotta decide where we are going, give the agent our destination and wait for booking time so that we can get the early booking discount. Did you know that you can put your honeymoon on layaway???? How awesome is that?

I still don't know what I want to do for attendants. I have just picked Pat as my maid of honor. But I don't know if I want to really have anyone except her and then my kids of course. I am pretty sure that my sister has her nose bent out of shape that I have talked to her about the wedding but never said anything about her being in it. ah well. Gotta love the inner family workings (but that is a WHOLE nother blog!)
